Play means many things to many people. Play can be structured. It can be free, without limits.
It can be adventurous and wild.
It can be structured and simple.
Play can take many shapes.
Loud. Quiet. Outside. In a fort. Under a tree. In the car on the way to school.
What does play mean to your family? How do you play? How does your child play?
What inspires your play and free time now? How about when you were a child?

So I was already in from another site at #146, but specific to your theme of “play,” I had to share this: http://www.ourschoolathome.com/2012/03/annie-and-phantom-appreciation-of.html – it’s not a full post about play, so I didn’t add it, but the photo of my daughter and her friend dressed up in their “awesome outfits” was too cute not to share. That’s not a way Sarah usually plays on her own, so it was great to have a friend encourage her to try a new, fun thing.
